There are two ways to set a time-out session for access to ePortal. Please follow the steps below:
β
Set in the eportal
Log in to ePortal as admin.
Go to Settings, System Settings, Password Mgmt.
Click Yes for Lock user after failed login attempts.
Set the minutes for Lock user account for duration (in minutes) and click Submit.
Set in the IIS
Go to the eportal server and search for IIS.
Select the eportalV2 at Sites, Default Web Site.
Choose the Session State from the ASP.NET group and click Open Feature.
Scroll down to Cookie Settings, change the Time-out and click Apply.
Restart IIS after the change is done.
Note: This setting is for anyone accessing ePortal and will have a timeout based on the last person accessing the website.
Example:
Employee A accesses the ePortal at 9 am, and the timeout should be 9:20 am.
Employee B accesses ePortal at 9:15 am, and the timeout should be 9:35 am.
For the above scenario, if after Employee B, and there is nobody accessing ePortal, the actual timeout will be at 9:35 am for both Employee A and Employee B.
