Custom Query: Create a random employee query

Select a batch of employees.

To filter employees randomly, please do as follows:

  1. Go to the Core or Payroll module and click Query Setup.

  2. Click New and enter the Query Name, eg, Random Employee.

  3. Enable the Use Custom Query and click the three-dotted button.

  4. On the right panel of the Custom Query, double-click on Employee Name.

  5. On the left panel, after the Employee.EmployeeName type IN.

  6. Click the open bracket, then in the drop-down list, select the employee.

  7. Type a comma after an employee is selected.

  8. Type a close bracket after the last employee selection.

  9. Click Save and close the window.

  10. Click Apply , and it should appear like this Employee.EmployeeName IN ( 'Amy Tan May Ling', 'James Tan', 'Norman Tan' )
