There are a few possibilities for this error. Please check as follows to resolve this:
Solution 1
Go to the Leave module, Setup, and select Allocation Table.
Select the Allocation ID, e.g., Annual.
Ensure that the Exceeding year is in sequence, and the last Exceeding year (less than) figure should be the beginning of the next Exceeding (more than or equal to) figure.
Solution 2
Go to the Leave module and click Leave Details.
Check if the Category is assigned.
Also check under Setup, Leave Policy.
Perhaps you have a specific category assigned to each Annual Allocation Table, which is why the system cannot detect this employee because of an invalid category.
Go to the Core module, Employment Details, to assign a category.
Select Employee and click Career.
Update the Category and Save.
Solution 3
Go to the Core module and click Employment Details.
Select the employee and click Career.
If the leave type in the year has changed, e.g., from Annual to Annual Leave, the Career Effective Date needs to be the first of the year, or you can update the previous career record category to be the same as the current category. Adjust the leave entitlement if there is a proration or incorrect entitlement. Refer to adjust leave entitlement.
