If you encounter an error as per above, please check the number of children eligible for relief and child relief points as follows:
Go to the Payroll module.
Click Reports and select Government Form.
Select E form and generate the CP8D text file.
Exit the Report Printer by clicking X and Save the P file to your desktop.
Open the text file you have saved using Notepad.
Click View and enable Status Bar.
Check the Ln Number at the bottom.
Point to the line number where the errors are displayed in the upload, e.g., Baris 8 (Line 8).
Go to Modules, Income Tax, and search for the employee.
Ensure the number of children eligible for relief and child relief points is correct.
After making changes, go to Pay Record and Reprocess the December payroll for the affected employee.
Before reprocessing, do a print screen of the employee's Pay Records, as you need to adjust the Net Wage and Tax amount if there are any changes.
Generate the CP8D text file and upload it again.
Repeat the same steps if you see errors for other Line Numbers
Example 1: If you have 1 child below 18 years old. You need to enter the number of children eligible for relief as '1' and the child relief point as '1'.
Example 2: If you have 1 child above 18 years old and further study. You need to enter the number of children eligible for relief as '1' and the child relief point as '4'.
Example 3: If you have 2 children, 1 child below 18 years old and another child above 18 years old, and further study. You need to enter the number of children eligible for relief as '2' and the child relief point as '5'.
Note: You cannot key in the children eligible for relief as 1 and the child relief point as 0, as per the screenshot below. This is when you will encounter an error.
