Payroll Malaysia: Error ''###' Is Not a Valid Floating-Point Value'

Unable to generate EPF txt file/ New joiner and not able to generate the EPF txt file.

The employee's EPF Number may contain hidden special characters, spaces, dots, dashes, or other invalid characters. This is often caused by copying and pasting the EPF number from another source.

Step 1: Identify the affected employee

Review the employee records and identify which employee the EPF number belongs to.

Step 2: Update the employee's EPF number

  1. Go to Core.

  2. Search for the affected employee.

  3. Navigate to Employment Details, Other Info.

  4. Locate the EPF No field.

  5. Delete the existing EPF number.

  6. Re-enter the EPF number manually.

    • Avoid using copy and paste, as hidden characters or spaces may be included.

  7. Save the changes.

After updating the EPF number, regenerate the EPF TXT file. The file should now be created successfully.
