If you notice that the SOCSO 8A Form does not show the SKBBK contribution amount, this is expected behaviour. This article explains why this happens and how to verify your SKBBK contributions using an alternative report.
Why SKBBK Does Not Appear on the SOCSO 8A Form
The SOCSO 8A Form has been outdated since 2018 and is no longer mandated by PERKESO/SOCSO. As a result, the form will not display the SKBBK contribution amount and will not be updated to do so.
However, the SOCSO 8A text file (.txt) will correctly reflect the SKBBK contribution amount, provided you enable the correct setting when generating the file.
Important: When generating the SOCSO 8A file, enable the Combined with EIS Amount checkbox. This is required to ensure the SKBBK contribution amount is included in the SOCSO 8A text file.
Verifying SKBBK Contributions for Internal Use
Although the SOCSO 8A Form is not a mandatory submission, many businesses still use it internally for purposes such as:
Management review
Finance approval
Internal reporting
To verify and reconcile SKBBK contribution amounts, we recommend using the Payroll Summary Report or the Pay Details Export.
How to Generate an SKBBK Contribution Report
Follow these steps to create a custom SKBBK report using Pay Details Export:
Go to Payroll, Report, Export, Pay Details Export.
Create a new report (for example, name it SKBBK Contribution).
Select the following fields: Employee Name, Employee ID.
Under Fixed Pay Item Current, select Employee SKBBK.
Click Preview to generate the report.
This report can be used to review and reconcile SKBBK contribution amounts for your records.
