If an employee has left your organisation and then rejoins, we recommend you set the employee up with a new employee ID. However, if necessary, you can reuse the original employee ID. Please follow the steps below to do this:
Go to the Core module and click Personnel Details.
Search for the former employee's record.
Click the Employment Status tab:
If you want to reuse the employee’s original ID, amend the old Employee ID with the suffix A. For example, if the old employee ID is EMP001, change it to EMP001A. Click Save, and click Go to Personnel Details.
(Recommended) If you want to use a different employee ID, skip this step.
In the Employment Status tab, click New and key in the desired Employee ID. In our example, EMP001 if you are reusing the old Employee ID.
Enter the rest of the information and click Save.
