To initialise Paternity Leave, please do as follows:
Go to the Core module, Personnel Details.
Select the Employee, and click Family/Other Contacts.
Click New, enter the child's information, and click Save.
Go to the Leave module, Leave Details.
Select the Employee, then click the Policy Folder tab.
Ensure you assign a leave policy that includes Paternity leave type.
Go to Process Leave, click Initialise, then select Leave Policy, Year, and click Next.
Select Leave Type as Paternity Leave, and click Next.
Transfer the employee over and click Confirm.
