Evo: Download and install EasyPay Evo Data Loader (Standalone)

How to install the EasyPay Data Loaders and connect your data so you can start using EasyPay Evo?

To use Access EasyPay Evo, you need to connect your EasyPay desktop data to Access Evo (formerly called Access Workspace). Ensure to update your EasyPay to the latest version, at least to 2025.00 PU2.

Request your security token

Complete this form, and Access will send you a security token. You’ll need this when installing the Data Loader. This ensures a secure connection to the Access Evo platform.

Each task is described below.

Task 1: Create Security Rights in EPE Control to Connect EasyPay Data Loader

Please create the access rights in your EPE Control to allow Evo to access your database. See our demonstration on creating the security rights below:

Task 2: Install the EasyPay Data Loader

  1. Ensure you are on the computer where your EasyPay database is installed.

  2. Download the Data Loader file:

  1. Go to your Downloads folder or the folder where you downloaded the file.

  2. Right-click on the DataLoaderSetup.exe file and select Run As Administrator.

  3. The Data Loader is installed and automatically launches.

  4. Click the settings button on the top right.

  5. In the Data Loader Setting screen, enter the following:

    • At Security Token: This is taken from your Evo Data Engine, at the Data Loader, or provided via email from Access Group.

    • Ignore the proxy settings.

  1. Click the Save button to complete the process.

  2. The Windows service DataLoaderService is created.

Task 3: Connect your EasyPay data

To connect your data to Evo, please follow the steps below. See our demonstration on connecting EasyPay to Evo below:

  1. Log into Access Evo.

  2. Click the Access button then Products, and then Data Engine.

  1. The Data Engine tab is displayed. Click the three-line hamburger menu on the top-left of the screen then select Connections, Shared.

  1. On the right of the EPEAnalytics row, click the arrow and select Properties.

  1. Click General on the left menu.

  2. At Name, change EPEAnalytics to your DSN name (your EasyPay database name).

  1. Click DSN on the left menu.

  2. Enter the following details:

    • At Connection Mode: Select Data Source Name.

    • At Data Source Name: Select your EasyPay DSN.

    • At User and Password: Enter your credentials that you created in Task 1.

  1. Click the Test tab at the top, and then click Start Test.

  2. When Connection is Valid displays, click Save.

Multiple databases or DSNs

  1. If you have multiple databases / DSN, repeat step 4 to step 10 in Task 3 as follows.

  2. In step 4, on the right of your EasyPay DSN, click the arrow drop down and select Duplicate. (This is to duplicate the DSN that will be renamed and map later)

  1. Repeat step 5 to rename the duplicated DSN to your next DSN.

  2. Repeat step 8 to enter your user id and password that you created in Task 1 for each EasyPay entity/ DSN.

  3. Repeat step 9 until 10.
