Please do as follows to exclude off days and rest days from hospital leave:
Go to the Leave module, Setup and select Leave Type.
Select Hospitalisation or the leave type from the Leave Type ID list.
Click the General tab and disable Holidays and Off days are Inclusive in Application.
Click Save.
