There may be times when approvals must be redirected to someone else in ESS. This happens when an approver is on leave. Approvals can be redirected in two ways:
A Manager can redirect approvals they receive from their team.
An Admin User can redirect approvals that a manager receives.
When approvals are redirected, this redirects any existing approvals as well as any entered in the future. Members or employees cannot redirect where their applications are sent for approval, e.g., they can't select a manager to approve their application.

To redirect approvals, please do as follows:
Open the profile of the user you want to redirect approvals for.
Click your profile button in the Dashboard.
For an admin User to redirect approvals for other managers, you can open the user's profile from the search function or Teams.
Select Teams & Roles, click the three-dotted button and select Redirect Approvals.
In the Add Redirect Approvals, enter the name of the user you want to redirect the approvals to.
Enter the Start and End Dates of the redirection period and click Done.
A Manager who has a redirection in place can see the existing redirection at the bottom of the Teams & Roles page. They can edit or remove the Redirection from here.The Manager to whom the approvals are redirected can see the details of the redirection at the bottom of their Teams & Roles page. They can also see who they are approving in the Approvals page.
A team member who is in a team where a redirection is in place can see this if they review the approval process from their Teams & Roles page.
