Why is there no IR8S generated for my employee?

Ensure the date of hire of the employee reflects the date the employee first joined the company. For example, if an employee joined on 1/1/2025, left on 1/7/2025, and then rejoined on 1/1/2026, the hire date should remain as 1/1/2025, not 1/1/2026. Steps to update the hire date are as follows:

  1. Go to the Core module and click Employment Details.

  2. Update the date of hire accordingly and click Save.

  3. Go to the Income Tax module.

  4. Click View Tax Record and delete the affected employee's current IR8A and IR8S.

  5. Click the Process tab and click Income Tax to process the employee again.

If the employee is terminated in the year, ensure that there are no payroll records in the tax year after the terminated month unless there is a Last Pay Date entered at the Payroll module, Pay Details.
