Income Tax Processing Singapore: Amend and resubmit using IRAS Direct file submission

Amend an employee’s IR8A record and submit a revision to IRAS via Direct File Submission.

If you need to correct previously submitted IR8A information, you can amend the employee’s tax record and submit a Revision through the Income Tax module. This process ensures that the corrected amounts are accurately reflected in the IRAS submission.

  1. Go to the Income Tax module.

  2. Click the Process tab, then select View Tax Record.

  3. Locate the employee and double-click the current IR8A record.

  4. Enter or amend the corrected amount, then click Save.

  5. Go to the Review tab and click Verification Report.

  6. Generate the report and save it to your desktop for checking and verification.

  7. Review the report and ensure the Amendment column reflects the correct difference.

  8. Go to the Generate tab and click IRAS Direct File Submission.

  9. Set the Submission Type to Revision.

  10. Click Direct Submit.

  11. Log in to IRAS CorpPass and upload the file to complete the submission.
