Answer a call and share your screen in MyAccess Portal (MAP)

This article explains how to answer a call from a consultant in MyAccess Portal (MAP) and share your screen during the session.

Before answering the call, ensure your browser has permission to access your microphone and camera (if a video call is required).

Step 1: Enable browser permissions

Before joining the call, make sure your browser has permission to use your microphone and camera (if a video call is required).

  1. Open your browser settings.

  2. Allow access to the Microphone.

  3. Allow access to the Camera (only required for video calls).

  4. Refresh the page if you have changed any permissions.

Note: If microphone or camera access is blocked, you may not be able to communicate with the consultant during the call.

Step 2: Answer the call

  1. Open the chat conversation with the consultant in MyAccess Portal (MAP).

  2. When the consultant initiates a call, a message will appear in the chat asking you to answer the call.

  3. Click Answer to join the call.

Important: There is no ringing sound when a consultant starts a call. You must actively monitor the chat window to see and answer the incoming call request.

Step 3: Share your screen

  1. After answering the call, the call window will appear.

  2. Click the Share Screen button in the call window.

  3. Choose what you want to share:

    • Your entire screen

    • A specific window

    • A browser tab (depending on your browser)

  4. Click Share to begin sharing your screen with the consultant.

The consultant will then be able to view the selected screen to assist you more effectively.
