ESS: Cannot activate account due to the same email address in the ESS

How to reactivate a re-join employee using the same email address in the Employee Self Service?

Please follow the steps below to update the email address for the re-join employee and activate the new ESS account:


Old account

  1. Log in to ESS as Administrator.

  2. Click Teams and select the employee.

  3. Click Contact Details and change his email address to a personal email or just add an alphabet or numbers in the email, e.g. [email protected], change to [email protected]

New ESS account

  1. Log in to ESS as Administrator.

  2. Click Teams, select the employee and click Account Settings.

  3. Change his email address to a work email or use his previous email address, e.g. [email protected].

  4. Click Contact Details.

  5. Change his email address to a work email or use his previous email address, e.g. [email protected].

  6. Click Resend the Activation Link.
