EasyPay Errors: Cannot send email using Office 365

Error: 535.5.7.139 Authentication unsuccessful. Office 365 cannot receive email notification in ePortal.

Basic Authentication was deprecated in September 2022, as mentioned in this announcement by Microsoft:

If you are using Hybrid Modern Authentication, generate the Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret and configure them in the Microsoft Graph. Set up the settings in EasyPay and eportal as follows after getting the required information from your email server provider:


EasyPay

  1. Go to EPE Control.

  2. Click Modules and click Email.

  3. Click Email Server Settings.

  4. Log in to the database and enter the email server information.

  5. Click Save.

ePortal

  1. Log in ePortal as Admin.

  2. Click Settings and select Email Configuration.,

  3. Click Email Server, enter the required information, and click Save.
