EasyTime: Error: 'Access violation at address'

Cannot log in EasyTime.

There are a few possibilities that result in this error message, such as an incorrect database server path, no admin privileges, or permission. Please find the methods below to resolve the issue:

Invalid database server path

  1. Right-click the EasyTime icon on your desktop and select Open File Location.

  2. Search for DBSYS.ini in the EasyTime folder and open it using Notepad.

  3. Check the SQLServerName and SQLServerDBName, ensure it is mapped to your current SQL Server.

  4. Change the SQLServerName and SQLServerDBName if the settings are not correct and save the file.

Administrator privilege

  1. Right-click the EasyTime icon on your desktop and Run As Administrator.

Permissions

  1. Right-click the EasyTime icon on your desktop and select Open File Location.

  2. Go up one folder, right-click the EasyTime Attendance System folder, and click Properties.

  3. Click Security, highlight your user account, and give Full Control.
