ePortal: Error 'SQL server does not exist or access denied'

Cannot log in EasyTime or eportal.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

You need to check if your SQL Server services are running and your EasyTime or eportal is pointing to the correct SQL Server.

EasyTime

  1. Go to your EasyTime icon on your desktop, right-click, and select Open File Location.

  2. In the EasyTime folder, search DBSYS.ini.

  3. Open DBSYS.ini with Notepad, check the SQL Server path if pointing to the correct MS SQL Server.

  4. If it is incorrect, update the DBSYS.ini file and save.

Eportal

  1. Go to your ePortal server and search IIS.

  2. Expand Sites and expand Default Website.

  3. Right-click eportal and select Explore.

  4. Search for Web.config file and open it with Notepad.

  5. Search in the web.config for DB_Server and update the value.

  6. Save and overwrite the file. (Back up the original file before overwriting it.)
