If you receive an "Invalid File Format" error when uploading your SOCSO text file to MyASSIST, it is usually caused by selecting the incorrect file type during the upload process or using a file that was generated in an unsupported format.
EasyPay (EPE) can generate SOCSO contribution files in two different formats:
Option 1: SOCSO + SKBBK + EIS
This generates a single file containing contribution amounts for:
SOCSO
SKBBK
EIS
Option 2: SOCSO + SKBBK
This generates a file containing only:
SOCSO
SKBBK
In this scenario, the EIS contribution must be generated seperately and uploaded as a different file.
To upload the file correctly
Log in to MyASSIST.
Go to the Contribution tab.
Select SOCSO + EIS as the File Type.
Choose the file generated from EasyPay (EPE).
Upload the file.
Important: Always select SOCSO + EIS as the upload file type, even if your generated file contains:
SOCSO + SKBBK, or
SOCSO + SKBBK + EIS
The SOCSO + EIS upload option is used for all supported SOCSO contribution file combinations.
If you continue to receive the "Invalid File Format" message:
Verify that the correct File Type (SOCSO + EIS) was selected during the upload.
Confirm that the file was generated correctly from EasyPay (EPE).
If the problem persists, regenerate the contribution file and try uploading it again.
