We have identified an issue where the SOCSO8A submission file may generate incorrect SOCSO and SKBBK contribution amounts under specific payroll scenarios.
When does this issue occur?
This issue occurs when both of the following conditions are met:
An Other Pay or Bonus Pay payroll is processed in the same month as the Normal Pay payroll.
The Other Pay or Bonus Pay payroll includes pay elements or overtime payments that are subject to SOCSO contributions.
In this scenario, the generated SOCSO8A file may contain incorrect SOCSO and SKBBK contribution amounts.
Resolution
A fix for this issue is available in Access Payroll v2026.01 PU3.
To resolve the issue, install v2026.01 PU3 before generating the SOCSO8A submission file.
After upgrading, regenerate the SOCSO8A file to ensure the correct SOCSO and SKBBK contribution amounts are included.
If you generated a SOCSO8A file using an affected version, review the submission and regenerate the file after installing the updated version before submitting it to SOCSO.
Impact
This issue affects customers who process SOCSO-contributing pay elements through Other Pay or Bonus Pay payrolls in the same month as a Normal Pay payroll.
The impact is limited to the SOCSO8A submission file, which may contain incorrect SOCSO and SKBBK contribution amounts.
Payroll processing, employee earnings, deductions, and Nett Pay are not affected.
