Leave: Cross-cycle taken in the leave module

Cross-cycle taken means leave that is taken in the next calendar year. Some employees apply for leave in advance, for example, in October for leave taken in January or February of the following year. If you have not initialized the new year leave cycle or entitlement, and if the employee chooses to apply in advance, the system will use the existing leave balance first. The moment you initialize the new year cycle, then the system will rebalance the entitlement and leave taken accordingly to its actual calendar year.
