Please check as follows to resolve this error:
Go to the Leave module.
Click Setup and select Costing Method.
Check if your costing method is set as User Defined.
If it is User-defined, you need to check if your employee's position is listed.
Add the position if it is missing.
Then, recalculate your employee's leave at the Process Leave.
Reapply the leave again.
