Payroll General: Pay Details Report is not formatted

The Pay Details report columns are hay wired, the report looks like a CSV format, and is not nicely arranged into columns.

The Pay Details report is not catered for MS Office Home and Business 2024. You will need to perform a workaround in the report to be able to view the report. Please follow the steps below to do this:

  1. Go to the Payroll module, Reports, Export, and select Pay Details Export.

  2. Select your Report ID, period, and year, and click Preview.

  3. Save the report to your desktop and open the report you saved earlier.

  4. Select column A and click the Data tab at the top panel.

  5. Select Text to Columns.

  6. The Convert Text to Columns wizard appears; click Delimited, then click Next.

  7. In the Delimiters, enable the Comma checkbox and click Next.

  8. In the next screen, you can click on each column at the bottom and define its Column Data Format.

  9. Click Finish when this is done.

  10. Save the Excel file as .xlsx format. Refer to How to Convert CSV to Excel columns for more details.
